The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Glades County Sheriff’s Office, is hosting the First Responders Hookin’ Specks Fishing Tournament on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Tournament Details
Date: Saturday, February 7, 2026 (Captain’s Meeting on Friday, Feb 6, at 6:00 PM).
Location: C. Scott Driver Boat Ramp (10101 SR 78 West, Okeechobee, FL 34974).
Target Species: Speckled Perch (Crappie).
Entry Fee: $175 per boat (includes Big Fish entry for an additional $25, totaling $200 for full eligibility).
Purpose: All proceeds benefit the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.
Prizes
1st Place: $2,000
2nd Place: $1,500
3rd Place: $1,000
4th Place: $500
5th Place: Entry fee reimbursement.
Tournament Schedule (Feb 7)
5:30 AM: Boat check-in opens at the Scott Driver Pavilion.
Safe Light: Boat launch begins.
7:00 AM: Lines in (start fishing).
3:00 PM: Lines out (stop fishing) and weigh-in opens.
4:30 PM: Food and awards ceremony.
Eligibility
This tournament is open to First Responders (active or retired), including Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs, Dispatchers, Detention Deputies, Medical Professionals, and Military members. Registration can be completed online at okeesheriff.com.
